The biggest essential in every girl’s winter wardrobe is outerwear. Unless you are lucky enough to live in warm weather all year round, you need a heavy coat to get you through the winter. And usually you are looking for that one coat that works with everything, looks stylish, and keeps you warm on your way to work, school, or wherever! This winter, there are a few trends in the coat world. They are classic standbys with this year’s fashionable twist. When I attended school in Syracuse, a winter coat was a must have to keep warm in the frequent blizzards. But I also wasn’t a big fan of looking like a human marshmallow in the big, long puffy coats. So I was always on the hunt each year to find that cute coat that still kept me toasty warm. And even now that I am back in New Jersey, the winters still get cold and I still need those big coats to keep me warm!

My favorite style this winter is the cocoon coat. It just looks so cozy and will definitely keep me warm in the winter months!
